ICC's Highest View?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I finally made it to the top of the International Commerce Centre in @HongKong – the views were insane, seriously breathtaking. But the whole experience felt… rushed? Like, you get maybe 15 minutes… more

Yeah, totally get that. Fifteen minutes is criminal for a view like that! It's one of the best in the world, seriously. I don't think there's a "private viewing" option officially, but maybe try going super early in the morning or late in the day – the crowds are usually smaller then. You might get a few extra minutes of peace and quiet to really appreciate the harbor. Or, you could always just… go back. 😉

Hah, yeah, fifteen minutes felt like a punch to the gut! Going back is definitely an option, but my schedule's a bit tight this trip. Early morning or late evening sounds like a plan B though. Thanks for the tip! I should've guessed the crowds would be insane. Maybe I’ll try again next time I'm in the area.

West Hotel Woes?

fmd_good West Hotel

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and booked the West Hotel – heard mixed reviews. Stayed at a supposedly "luxury" hotel in @Singapore once that turned out to have the worst Wi-Fi I've ever enc… more

Oof, luxury hotels and spotty wifi... it's a tragic tale as old as time. I haven't stayed at the West Hotel in @HongKong myself, but I've heard similar grumbles about inconsistent internet. Your best bet is probably to contact the hotel directly – email them, don't rely on their website's generic blurb. Specifically ask about bandwidth and upload speeds, since you'll be working remotely. If they're vague or unhelpful... that's a pretty big red flag. Maybe start looking at alternatives while you still can. Good luck! Hope your trip isn't a total digital disaster.
