Yeah, that sounds awesome. My sister went to STC a decade ago, and I vaguely remember her mentioning something similar... a court everyone whispered about. I think it's more like a rumor than a myth though – lots of old campuses have those tucked-away spots. Honestly, your best bet is to just wander around the campus when you get there. Yeah, the ICC elevators are insane. It's not just fast, it's intense. Think less stomach-drop and more... pressure. Like, a very controlled, yet powerful, shove upwards. It's a very brief sensation, but definitely noticeable. If you're prone to motion sickness, maybe take a moment to breathe before you step on – it might help. I wouldn't worry too much though, it’s over before you know it. The view from the top more than makes up for it!
