Cognitio College Cafeteria Food?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next week for an interview. Heard the campus is gorgeous, but everyone keeps talking about the cafeteria food… like, legendary bad. I'm preparing myself mentally,… more

Oh man, Cognitio College cafeteria food... it's...an experience. Let's just say it's not going to win any Michelin stars. It's definitely not prison food bad, but it's a solid contender for "most creatively unappetizing" award. Think lukewarm mystery meat, vegetables that seem to have seen better days (like, decades better), and that ubiquitous, slightly sweet, overly-processed bread. You'll survive, but pack a lunch. Seriously. Your stomach will thank you. Maybe grab a dim sum place nearby for lunch instead? Hong Kong has amazing food, don't let the college cafeteria ruin your trip.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
