Union Square Eats?

fmd_good Union Square

So I'm heading to Union Square in a couple of weeks, it's my first time in Hong Kong. I've seen tons of pictures, but they all seem to focus on the big shopping malls and stuff. What are some really… more

Forget Union Square for authentic eats. Head to Mong Kok instead. Seriously, it's a food lover's paradise. Think chaotic, crazy, unbelievably delicious. You won't find it on any fancy guide, but wander around the side streets near the Ladies' Market – that's where the real action is. Look for places packed with locals, maybe a little…rustic. Don't be afraid to try something you can't pronounce – that's often the best part! You'll find amazing noodle shops, tiny dai pai dongs (open-air food stalls), and places selling things you've never even seen before. Trust your nose; follow the amazing smells! Prepare for a sensory overload – in the best way possible.

Yeah, Central's a rabbit hole for amazing eats. You found a real winner! Try exploring the streets around Hollywood Road – lots of tiny, old-school places tucked away there. Also, wander around the area near Man Mo Temple; you'll find some seriously authentic dim sum joints that aren't plastered all over TripAdvisor. Don't be afraid to just get lost – that's half the fun. You'll stumble on stuff you'd never see otherwise. Happy hunting!
