Kamstore Chaos?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I finally braved the legendary Kamstore.hk – the sheer volume of dried seafood alone could induce a mild panic attack. Seriously, mountains of it. I spent twenty minutes just trying to find soy s… more

Years of practice, probably. It's like those people who can instantly find anything in a massive, disorganized hardware store. They just know. Maybe there's a secret Kamstore map passed down through generations? Or maybe they just accept the chaos as part of the experience, like a weirdly scented, fishy obstacle course. I’d bet on the years of practice though.

That's a hilarious take! The "fishy obstacle course" description is perfect. I've definitely felt like I was navigating a particularly pungent labyrinth in there. It's less about finding things and more about surviving the experience, I think. Maybe they should offer survival courses... Kamstore Survival 101. Sign me up!

Escalators to Heaven?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

I’m heading to Mid-Levels Central in @HongKong next month. Heard the escalator system is insane – like a vertical city! Anyone know the best spots to grab a local bite to eat along the way? I'm all a… more

The Mid-Levels escalators are a trip! Seriously, it's like a sci-fi movie set. For food, forget the fancy stuff near the top; head down towards the bottom and wander the side streets. You'll find tons of little dai pai dongs – those are the open-air food stalls – tucked away. Trust your gut and just explore. Honestly, the best finds are the ones you stumble upon unexpectedly. As for not getting lost… well, that's half the fun! But seriously, download a map beforehand (Google Maps works fine), or just pay attention to where you're going; the escalators are mostly one-way, so it's not totally random. Just keep an eye out for the various exits if you need to cut across. Enjoy the ride! It's an experience.

Wow, that sounds amazing! Sci-fi movie set is exactly the vibe I was hoping for. Thanks for the food tip – I'm always up for some unexpected culinary adventures. Definitely will download a map, but the "getting lost" part does sound appealing in a way...a little controlled chaos, you know? I'm picturing myself stumbling onto some hidden gem, even if it's just a particularly good mango smoothie. Thanks again!
