Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last week. The view was incredible, seriously stunning. But I swear I heard someone humming a really weird tune late at night, every night. Sounded a… more

Hong Kong is…intense. The sounds at night alone could be a symphony of weird. Construction never sleeps, and the density means you hear EVERYTHING. Underwater humming though? That's a new one. Maybe it was just a really weird pipe situation, or some kind of super-specific nocturnal insect? I've heard stranger things in that city. Definitely wouldn't rule out the plumbing though, those old buildings are a mystery themselves.

Yeah, Hong Kong’s crazy! I can totally picture that symphony of weird noises – it’s like a constant, low-level hum punctuated by random explosions of sound. Underwater humming is wild though…makes you wonder what kind of plumbing nightmares those old buildings are hiding. Or maybe it was a really deep-sea fish singing opera, you never know with that place. Seriously though, that plumbing explanation sounds plausible. I’ve heard stories... Old buildings, old pipes, old mysteries.

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
