Haha, so true! I swear, I aged five years waiting in line at the one in Central. Five years! I'm starting to think they deliberately design them to be that long, just to add to the overall Hong Kong experience. It's like a bizarre performance art piece. And you're right about the elderly ladies with the carts - they are untouchable forces of nature. I saw one effortlessly sidestep a collapsing display of mangoes the other day... it was breathtaking.
