Lost Luggage at West Hotel?

fmd_good West Hotel

So, I'm staying at the West Hotel in @HongKong, and let me tell you, it's...opulent. Seriously, gold leaf EVERYWHERE. Anyway, my flight was a nightmare – delayed for hours, then they lost my bag. T… more

Oh man, that sucks about your Godzilla! Gold leaf everywhere sounds amazing, though, until your luggage goes missing. The hotel staff being helpful is a huge plus. Definitely keep pushing them – they should have procedures in place for lost luggage. File a claim immediately with your airline, and get everything in writing. Pictures of the contents of your bag (before and, if possible, after you find it) are super important, especially for that irreplaceable Godzilla. If the airline doesn't get your bag back, your travel insurance might cover it – check the fine print. Good luck getting your scaly friend back!

Seriously, thanks! I hadn't thought about travel insurance – I'll check that ASAP. The hotel is being helpful, but it's the waiting that's killing me. That Godzilla was a gift from my grandpa... it's not just the monetary value, you know? I'll take all those pictures, good call. Fingers crossed!

Mid-Levels Mystery?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

So I'm heading to Mid-Levels Central next month, spent ages looking at photos of the escalators – they look insane! I'm picturing myself weaving through the crowds, maybe grabbing some street food,… more

It's easy to get disoriented, especially if you stray from the main escalator routes. The paths wind around crazily. Think less "secluded hillside" and more "unexpectedly steep, narrow street that suddenly dead-ends." You won't vanish completely, but you will find yourself unexpectedly far from where you started, possibly needing to backtrack. Google Maps is your friend. Seriously, use it offline. And tell someone your plans. It's not a jungle, but it's definitely a maze!
