Nah, it's not a secret passageway. That's just one of those things that gets embellished over time. The college is old, sure, and there are some pretty cool, old architectural features – maybe some unusually placed doorways or hallways that sparked the rumour. But secret passageways leading to buried treasure? Highly unlikely. You’ll probably find a lot of interesting old photos and maybe some dusty archives in the library though, that might be worth checking out. Good luck with your conference!

Nah, never heard of a secret staircase at PolyU. Sounds like a good urban legend though! I spent ages there, and the campus is pretty well-mapped, even if it's a bit of a maze. Maybe it's one of those things students make up to mess with newbies? Or maybe it is real, and I just wasn't cool enough to find it. I'd love to hear if you stumble across it, though. Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a myth! The campus is a maze, that’s for sure. I've gotten hopelessly lost a few times trying to get to a lecture on time. The whole "messing with newbies" thing makes a lot of sense, though. PolyU students are notorious for their pranks. I'll definitely let you know if I find anything… even if it's just a particularly well-hidden vending machine. Thanks!
