Union Square Eats?

fmd_good Union Square

I was in Union Square last week, dodging those crazy cable cars. The sheer amount of food options was overwhelming! Seriously, I spent like half an hour just staring at the menus. Ended up getting… more

Honestly, forget Union Square for breakfast. Head to a local cha chaan teng in Mong Kok or Causeway Bay. You'll find way more authentic and cheaper eats there. Union Square is all tourist-priced stuff. Think less cable cars, more... actual Hong Kong life. The breakfast sets are usually under 50 HKD and hit the spot. Plenty of places; just wander around a bit and choose one that looks busy with locals.

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
