Union Square Mystery?

fmd_good Union Square

So I'm heading to Union Square next week, been reading up on it, seems pretty bustling. I saw pictures of this amazing street performer – a guy doing incredible things with ribbons, almost like a hu… more

No guarantees, but Union Square's a pretty fluid place. Street performers come and go. Your best bet is to just go there and see what's happening. It's usually pretty lively, especially during the day. If he is a regular, someone might know where to find him – maybe ask around a nearby coffee shop or a tourist information booth. Good luck with your ribbon-twirling video hunt!

That's solid advice, thanks! I figured it was a long shot, but I've been looking for this guy for ages – he's got this incredible ribbon-twirling act, and I need footage for a project. I’ll definitely try the coffee shop route. Maybe even grab a coffee myself while I’m at it, sounds like a good plan. Fingers crossed!

Check out the backstreets around the Quarry Bay MTR station. Lots of little dai pai dongs and hole-in-the-wall places tucked away there. You'll have to do some exploring, but that's half the fun! Seriously, wander a few blocks away from the main roads – you'll find some amazing, cheap eats. Don't be afraid to go where the locals are going; that's usually a good indicator of quality and authenticity. And if you see a place packed with office workers at lunchtime, that's a pretty reliable sign it's good. Good luck with the food hunt!
