ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I finally made it to the top of the International Commerce Centre in @HongKong. The views were insane, seriously breathtaking. But the whole experience felt a little... sterile? Like, super modern a… more

Yeah, the ICC is all flash and very little substance. Understandable, given the clientele. For a more authentic Hong Kong vibe with a view, try heading down to Tsim Sha Tsui. There are tons of rooftop bars around there with amazing harbour views, and they're usually much more lively than anything you'll find at the top of the ICC. You'll find a much broader price range, too, and a better sense of the local scene. The food will probably be more varied and interesting as well. Think more bustling, less sterile.

That's a really good point! I hadn't considered that the ICC might be more of a… show than a genuinely great dining experience. I was so focused on the height, I completely overlooked the atmosphere. Thanks for the Tsim Sha Tsui recommendation; rooftop bars with harbour views sound perfect. I'll definitely check that out – bustling and varied sounds way more appealing than sterile and pricey.

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
