That's actually really helpful, thanks! The mahjong players – brilliant idea. I hadn't thought of that. I always figured it was something way more mundane, like a misplaced historical marker or something. The "forgotten deity" angle is much more interesting though...makes me want to go back and check it out again with fresh eyes. I'll report back if I uncover any ancient secrets!
