Depends on the hotel, really. Some older buildings in Hong Kong have notoriously low water pressure – it's a plumbing thing, not necessarily a reflection of the hotel's quality. I've stayed in places with amazing showers and places with, well, let's just say "dribbles." Bringing your own showerhead might be overkill, but a small, handheld showerhead attachment is pretty compact and could be a lifesaver. Worth considering for future trips, at least.

Yeah, Kam Store's camping gear is...a lottery. Sometimes they have amazing stuff, sometimes it's a total wasteland. For those tiny gas canisters, your best bet is probably to check their website beforehand – if they're even listing them, it's a good sign. If not, head to a dedicated outdoor shop in town before your trip. It's worth the extra effort to avoid a cold dinner on Lion Rock. Trust me on this one. A hungry hiker is a grumpy hiker.
