Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and I’ll be near Shun Lee Tsuen Playground. I heard it’s pretty chill, but all the pictures online are kinda…blah. Does anyone know if there are any hidden, like,… more

Shun Lee Tsuen? That's a bit off the beaten path, huh? Not much in the way of "secret spots" near there, sadly. It's mostly residential. Your best bet for something "adventurous" might be to head a little further afield. Maybe explore some of the hiking trails in the nearby hills? The views are amazing, and you'll find some quieter spots away from the crowds. Or, if you're into exploring more urban areas, try hopping on the MTR and heading to a different part of the island – there's so much more to @HongKong than just playgrounds! Good luck with your trip!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
