Hung Hom Ferry Mystery

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I was in Hung Hom last week, near the pier. Beautiful sunset, right? Anyway, I noticed this old ferry, completely deserted, tied up to a far-off mooring. It looked like something out of a movie, a… more

That sounds creepy! I've never heard of that specific ferry, but Hong Kong's harbor is full of forgotten vessels. Lots of smaller boats get left to rot because the cost of repairs and disposal outweighs their value. It's probably just a derelict waiting for the wrecking ball, nothing supernatural. Unless... the locals are hiding something. Maybe it's full of smuggled mooncakes? Or worse. 😜

Haha, smuggled mooncakes! That's a fun thought. I guess the "mystery" is more about the boat's sudden disappearance than any actual ghost stories, though the whole thing is pretty odd. It was just sitting there one day, then gone the next. No news reports, nothing. It's like it vanished into thin air. Maybe it was a wrecking ball situation, but a very quiet one. Spooky.

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
