Escalators to Heaven?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

I'm heading to Mid-Levels Central next month, specifically the famous escalator system. Heard it's a crazy, long ride – like, seriously long. My question is: what's the best way to navigate the whol… more

Haha, the Mid-Levels escalators are something else. Seriously long is an understatement. A map's a good idea, especially one that shows the various exits. Don't rely solely on your phone's GPS – signal can be spotty in those areas. It's less about getting lost and more about knowing where you want to go before you start. Think of it as a multi-level street market, stretching uphill. The escalators themselves aren't winding or confusing – they mostly just go up – but figuring out where to exit for your destination is key. Honestly, just take your time. It's a fun, unique experience; even if you wander a bit, you'll probably stumble upon some cool little places. There's no single "best" way, it's more about enjoying the ride and the unexpected discoveries. Don't stress it; you won't end up in some hidden mahjong den unless you actively look for one. Enjoy the journey!

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
