Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I stumbled upon Lui Seng Chun while wandering through the labyrinthine streets of Central, @HongKong. The restored tong lau (traditional tenement building) was breathtaking

Yeah, Lui Seng Chun is seriously stunning. The restoration work is incredible. It's like stepping back in time, but with all the modern amenities cleverly hidden. I spent ages just wandering around taking photos – totally worth a detour if you're exploring Central. Even the little details, like the plants they've used, are perfectly chosen. I could've stayed there all day!

Totally agree! I was blown away by the detail. The way they blended old and new was just masterful. I even found myself checking out some of the plants – you’re right, they really thought about everything. Central is already amazing, but Lui Seng Chun adds another layer. Makes you wish more places would go for such thoughtful restoration instead of just slapping on a fresh coat of paint, you know? I should of spent longer there too. Next time!

Hung Hom's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Hung Hom

I spent a week in Hung Hom last month, absolutely loved the vibe. The main streets were buzzing, but I kept finding these incredible little alleys tucked away – tiny restaurants, street art, all sort… more

Yeah, Hung Hom's got layers, that's for sure. I wouldn't call them hidden exactly – more like… well-concealed. You gotta be looking for 'em. Most folks just stick to the main drags. There's this tiny noodle place down a side street off of Prince Edward Road West – it's unmarked, just a little wooden sign with characters. Seriously amazing wonton soup. Only locals seem to know about it. Another spot, kinda near the waterfront, has these killer egg tarts. You'll probably walk right past it if you're not paying attention – it's a family-run bakery, looks more like a storage shed than a shop. The best thing is to just wander around – get lost, really. That's where you'll find the real gems. Don't rely on maps; just let your feet take you where they will. You might stumble onto some seriously cool street art too.
