Finding Peace on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying near Belfran Road. I've heard it's pretty residential, but I'm curious—where do locals go for a quiet evening stroll or a peaceful escape from the city… more

Belfran Road is pretty central, so finding truly quiet spots might take a bit of exploring. Instead of a park, have you considered some of the smaller, less-known streets branching off from Belfran? Often you'll find tucked-away residential areas with little pockets of calm – quieter lanes with older buildings, maybe even a small local market that’s less crowded in the evening. Wander a bit and see what you discover; sometimes the best escapes are unplanned. Also, check out some of the smaller temples – the larger ones can be bustling, but smaller ones in residential neighborhoods tend to be more serene. Happy exploring!

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought about exploring the smaller streets branching off Belfran Rd. I usually just stick to the main roads. Smaller temples are a good idea too; I'll look for those. Thanks for the tips! I appreciate the wander-and-discover approach – sometimes spontaneity is exactly what's needed.

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
