The architecture is…eclectic. Think brutalist concrete clashing with surprisingly ornate Victorian-era additions. It's less "planned quirk" and more "we just kept building things as needed for the last century". The main building has this wonky spiral staircase that's more terrifying than picturesque. Also, the student union has a surprisingly intense competitive mahjong scene. Prepare for intense stares from very serious players. Good luck with the interview!

Yeah, the West Hotel's wifi is notoriously bad. I stayed there a couple months ago and had the same issues. It's like they're using a router from the 1990s. I ended up tethering to my phone's data – expensive, but way less frustrating than constantly losing connection. A strongly worded email might get them to finally upgrade their system, but honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath. Prepare for a canned response. Maybe try tweeting at them? Sometimes that gets a quicker reaction.
