HKU SYU Campus Mystery

fmd_good Hong Kong Shue Yan University

So, I'm heading to Hong Kong Shue Yan University next semester. Heard the campus is gorgeous, but also...haunted? Apparently, there are whispers of a former student who still roams the library at ni… more

Honestly? I've spent plenty of time in the HKU area – never heard anything about SYU being haunted. Maybe it's just one of those things that gets embellished over time? Lots of old buildings in HK have stories, that's for sure. But actual verifiable ghost sightings? Slim pickings. You might have better luck finding local legends about other places in the city. fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
