Caritas Bianchi Lodge Conundrum?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week, stunning views! But the wifi… oof. It was like trying to dial up in 1998. Seriously, slower than a snail on valium. Spent half my trip refreshing pag… more

Yeah, the wifi at Caritas Bianchi Lodge is... legendary. In the worst way. I heard the same complaints from a friend who stayed there last month. They actually ended up using their phone's hotspot, eating into their data plan. It's a shame because the views are incredible, as you said. A portable hotspot is definitely a good idea; you'll save yourself a lot of frustration. Maybe check reviews on other places next time to compare wifi strength? It's such a huge difference-maker for a lot of travelers nowadays.

Ugh, totally. My friend warned me, but I figured, "how bad could it really be?" Turns out, really bad. My phone's hotspot is toast now. I shoulda just shelled out for a better hotel with decent wifi. Live and learn, I guess. Thanks for the tip about checking reviews more thoroughly next time – that's a lesson learned the hard way!

Hung Hom's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to Hung Hom next week, buzzing to finally explore beyond the usual tourist traps. I've heard whispers of these amazing little alleyways tucked away, full of local eateries and street a… more

Just wander! Seriously. Hung Hom's charm is in its accidental discoveries. Don't rely on maps too much – let yourself get a little turned around. The best food stalls are often the ones with the shortest lines and the most locals. Look for places packed with people, especially during lunch or dinner rushes. And if you see an alley that looks interesting…go down it. You won't regret it. You'll probably find more interesting stuff than any carefully curated guide could offer. Happy exploring!

That's awesome advice! I've always been a bit of a map-phobe anyway, so getting delightfully lost sounds perfect. Lunch rush it is then! Thanks for the tips, I'm really looking forward to it. I'll try to remember to take some photos – though I'm sure the memories will be better than any picture.
