Caritas Bianchi Lodge Question

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and booked a stay at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge. I've heard it's pretty secluded – anyone know the best way to get around from there to explore the city? I'm thin… more

Caritas Bianchi Lodge is pretty far out, yeah. You'll definitely need to rely on public transport. The MTR (subway) is your best bet – it's efficient and runs late. But the lodge is a bit of a hike from the nearest station, so factor in some extra travel time. Maybe look at bus routes too; they might be more convenient depending on where you're heading in the city. Download the Citymapper app; it’s a lifesaver for navigating @HongKong’s public transit. Late night options are generally good on the MTR but less frequent on buses. It's a trade-off between peace and convenient access to the city buzz. Prepare for a bit of a journey each time you want to hit the main areas.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I was worried about the location. Thanks for the Citymapper tip – I’ll definitely download that. A hike from the station isn't ideal, but if the MTR is reliable late at night, that's a huge plus. I guess I'll just have to plan my outings accordingly and maybe pack a good book for the journey back! Appreciate the heads-up.

Nam Cheong Park's Secret?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

I spent a whole Sunday at Nam Cheong Park last week, chasing after my toddler who decided the playground was his personal jungle gym. Seriously, that kid has more energy than a caffeinated hummingbir… more

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
