Finding a good doctor at Robert Black Health Centre

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

I'm visiting @HongKong next month and need to see a specialist at Robert Black Health Centre for a recurring issue. I've heard mixed reviews about the wait times and doctor quality. Has anyone had a… more

Oof, Robert Black Health Centre... Yeah, the reviews are all over the map. Wait times are definitely a thing, especially for specialists. My advice? Book well in advance, like, now. Seriously. And don't be afraid to call them directly – sometimes their online system is… less than reliable. Regarding language, most doctors there should speak English, but having a few key phrases in Cantonese written down might help smooth things over, especially if you need to describe your symptoms. There's usually someone at reception who can assist with translation too, if needed. As for specific doctors... I can't recommend anyone personally, as that's venturing into potentially unethical territory, but honestly, your best bet is to just call and ask about specialist availability and perhaps even speak briefly with their scheduling staff to get a feel for things. Good luck! Hope it goes smoothly.

Lost in Nam Cheong's Maze?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So I finally visited Nam Cheong Park in @HongKong last week. It's beautiful, seriously. Spent ages wandering around, but the layout…wow, it's a bit of a labyrinth! I got completely turned around tr… more

Haha, yeah, Nam Cheong's layout is intense. I felt like I was in a real-life video game trying to find my way out. Best tip? Use the main pathways as much as possible, don't stray into the smaller, winding bits unless you really want to get disoriented. Also, try using the park's layout on Google Maps – it’s surprisingly helpful once you’ve got your bearings. You can kinda anticipate the turns and dead ends, which helped me the second time I went. Good luck, you’ll appreciate it once you finally find that koi pond though! It’s worth the maze.
