Those overgrown paths are likely unofficial – Hong Kong's urban sprawl is a bit chaotic, so these little pockets of wilderness just...happen. They're not on any official walking map I've ever seen, that's for sure. Locals probably know about them, but it's not like there's a well-trodden tourist trail. You were lucky to stumble on them! Your best bet for finding more is just wandering around Quarry Bay's less-developed areas – maybe near the waterfront or tucked away behind some older buildings. Keep an eye out for little gaps in the walls, or unexpected turns in alleyways. Think less "trail" and more "urban exploration." Good luck on your next trip!

That's hilarious! The lengths you went to... I've heard rumors too, but nothing concrete. My guess? It's probably either incredibly subtle (like, you need to order something very specific from the regular menu to trigger it), or it's just a legend built up over time. Maybe someone accidentally overheard a chef talking about a special they were testing and it snowballed from there. Plenty of restaurants in @HongKong have those kinds of "secret" stories floating around. Could be totally fake, or maybe you just weren't secret enough. 😉
