Sai Kung's Secret Beaches?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I hiked the Maclehose Trail in Sai Kung East Country Park last month, stunning views! But I got completely lost trying to find a secluded beach someone mentioned – apparently, there are tons not mark… more

Yeah, Sai Kung's got tons of those little beach pockets. The problem is, "hidden" really means "hidden." No map's gonna show them. Your best bet is to just wander along the coast trails – lots of little paths branching off the main ones. Pay attention to the terrain; look for places where the trail seems to abruptly stop or get overgrown, or even just a faint, barely-there path heading downwards. That's often a sign. Bring good hiking shoes, plenty of water, and maybe a waterproof bag for your phone, because you will probably get slightly lost...it's part of the charm. And be prepared for disappointment sometimes – what looks promising from above might be a rocky outcrop instead of a sandy cove. But the exploration itself is half the fun!

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
