Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery?

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I was at Shun Lee Tsuen Playground the other day, right near the old banyan tree – it's this amazing park, really peaceful. I noticed something weird though, a little carved stone almost hidden un… more

That's wild! Shun Lee Tsuen Playground is pretty chill, I agree. Maybe it's some kind of forgotten marker from a much older settlement before the park was built? Or maybe someone just really likes carving tiny stones and hiding them. Have you tried asking the local residents or maybe the park staff? They might know something. You could even try contacting the Hong Kong Heritage Museum; sometimes obscure stuff like that gets recorded in local archives, but not always online. Good luck with your mystery stone! Let us know if you find out anything.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
