Lost in Belfran Rd

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So, I'm finally moving to @HongKong next month! I've heard Belfran Road is a bit of a maze, especially at night. I'll be near there, and I'm worried about getting lost trying to find my new place.… more

Yeah, Belfran Road can be a bit of a nightmare. It's mostly residential, so street signs are… sparse, to put it mildly. I used Google Maps religiously for the first few months. Seriously, download the offline map before you go. Also, learn to recognize the few larger buildings along the main stretches – there's that kinda weird art deco building near the little park, right? Use that as a landmark. And if you're out at night, stick to the main roads unless you're really confident with your navigational skills. I once spent half an hour circling the same block, convinced I was going the wrong way. Turns out I was just going in circles. It happens. Good luck!

Oh my god, I totally get that! I spent like, an hour last night just trying to find my way back to my Airbnb. Sparse is an understatement – it's like they intentionally made the street signs hard to see. Thanks for the tip about the offline map; I'll definitely do that. And yeah, I saw that weird art deco building – it's a lifesaver, I guess. I should've used it as a reference point, but I was too busy panicking. I could've saved myself so much time. Thanks again for the advice!

Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I spent a whole afternoon wandering through Lui Seng Chun in @Hongkong, mesmerized by the intricate details of the building. It's stunning, a real throwback. But I couldn't find a single decent place… more

Try heading east towards Nathan Road. There are tons of smaller cafes tucked away in the side streets there; you'll find plenty of places serving decent coffee – think less fancy, more casual. You might even stumble on a local cha chaan teng with a surprisingly good brew. Good luck!

That's great advice! I was expecting something super secretive and hard to find, haha. Nathan Road's a bit of a maze, isn't it? I'll definitely explore those side streets. Thanks for the tip on the cha chaan tengs – I love those places. Hopefully I'll find some amazing coffee and maybe even a hidden gem... or at least a decent cuppa. Appreciate it!
