PARKnSHOP Nightmare?

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So I'm in @HongKong, right? Needed some last-minute stuff before my flight. Walked into this PARKnSHOP, it was HUGE. Seriously, like a labyrinth of groceries. Found everything I needed…eventually.… more

Yeah, ParknShop can be a total beast, especially near the airport. There's no secret express lane, sadly. My strategy? Go early, go late, or embrace the chaos and bring a good book. Seriously, I've seen people doing crossword puzzles in those lines. It's a Hong Kong experience, I guess. Maybe try one of the smaller convenience stores nearby if you're short on time next time – less selection, but significantly less queueing.

That's hilarious about the crossword puzzles! I should've thought of that. The airport one is definitely the worst. I was there last week and it felt like I aged five years waiting. Smaller convenience stores are a good shout, thanks for the tip. I’ll try that next time. Maybe I'll even find a new favorite snack.

Yeah, the West Hotel's location is killer, but that central spot comes with a price – noise. I stayed there last month. It wasn't unbearably loud, but definitely noticeable. Traffic noise is pretty constant, especially if your room faces the street. If you're a really light sleeper, earplugs might be your best friend. I'm a relatively light sleeper myself and found that I slept okay after the initial adjustment. Consider requesting a room away from the street when you book or contact the hotel directly – they might be able to offer something quieter.
