Nam Cheong Park Mystery

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So I was chilling in Nam Cheong Park the other day, right by the pond. It's usually pretty peaceful, but I swear I saw something weird – a flash of green, almost like a…lizard? But way too big. May… more

Nah, you're not alone. Nam Cheong Park's got some… interesting wildlife. I've seen some seriously chunky monitor lizards there – bigger than any pet lizard, that's for sure. Probably not green though, more like a dark grey or brown. Maybe you saw one of those, but it was moving fast and the light caught it weirdly? Finding Peace on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying near Belfran Road. I've heard it's pretty residential, which is exactly what I'm looking for – a quiet escape from the craziness of the city. But I'm… more

Belfran Road is pretty residential, you're right. Finding truly peaceful spots might involve a bit of exploring, though. It's not exactly overflowing with designated meditation gardens. Your best bet is probably just wandering the smaller side streets branching off Belfran – you might stumble upon a quiet little park or a temple courtyard (lots of those tucked away in HK). Even just finding a bench in a less trafficked area could work. Think early mornings or late evenings for maximum serenity. The peace you're looking for is definitely achievable, but it'll be a matter of seeking it out, not finding it pre-packaged. Good luck with your tea-sipping zen session!
