Yeah, creepy is right! Plumbing access or an air vent sounds plausible, but the cat's eye... that's what's really bugging me. It felt… deliberate. Like someone placed it there. I'm not a huge fan of going back alone, especially at night. A friend's a good idea. Maybe I'll bring my dog, too – he's a pretty good alarm system.
