Nah, no secret passages, just really, really bad signage. I've been there a few times – the dim sum is to die for, but the layout is…inspired? Let's just say it's a testament to the fact that good food doesn't require good spatial planning. You probably just got disoriented; that place is a labyrinth of deliciousness. Blame the dumplings, they're potent.

Hah, the Mid-Levels staircases are a trip! I once stumbled upon a guy practicing Tai Chi...at 3 AM. Completely unexpected, and kinda unnerving in the pre-dawn gloom. Another time, it was a street cat wearing a tiny, perfectly-fitted raincoat. Seriously. No joke. You'll find way more than just tea houses, trust me. Prepare for the unexpected.
