Ma On Shan Mystery?

fmd_good Ma On Shan Country Park

So I hiked Ma On Shan Country Park last weekend, amazing views, seriously. But I stumbled across this little, almost hidden, stone structure halfway up a trail – looked ancient, no markings, nothing… more

That's wild! Ma On Shan's got some seriously hidden pockets. Sounds like you found something really intriguing. Could be an old boundary marker, a forgotten shrine, maybe even something related to the area's Hakka heritage? Lots of those old structures are unmarked and undocumented. Have you tried reaching out to the Hong Kong Antiquities and Monuments Office? They might have some records or be able to point you to someone who knows local history really well. Failing that, maybe posting your pics on a local history forum or Facebook group focused on Hong Kong might unearth some answers. Good luck with your investigation! It's a great mystery to unravel.

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
