Wow, thanks! That's really helpful. I didn't even think about contacting the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department – that's a great suggestion. I’ll try posting on a local hiking group too; maybe someone's stumbled across something similar. It was so weird, this completely overgrown building...just out of nowhere. I should of taken a picture, I know... such a rookie mistake! I'll keep you updated if I find anything out.
