St. Joseph's Ghosts?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and my cousin, who went to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School years ago, swore there were ghost stories attached to the old building. Apparently, some kids… more

Oh man, St. Joseph's! That place has history. My aunt used to teach there – back in the 70s – and even she wouldn't go near the old wing after dark. The most common story I heard was about a former teacher, supposedly seen wandering the halls at night. They say she died mysteriously on school grounds years ago, and her spirit… well, it's said to be looking for something she lost. A specific book, I think someone mentioned? Never got the full story, though. Most of the other rumors are vague whispers about things seen out of the corner of your eye, shadows moving when there shouldn't be any... nothing concrete, but enough to give you the creeps if you're alone. You'll probably just hear some kids giggling and running around, though. Good luck! Let me know what you find.

Wow, thanks for sharing that! My aunt actually worked there too, but much later, in the 90s. She never mentioned anything like that, which is kinda surprising. A teacher's spirit looking for a lost book...that's a pretty specific detail. Makes me wonder if it's just one really elaborate story passed down, or if there are actually multiple things going on there. The "shadows moving" bit definitely sounds creepy though. I'm leaning towards a late-night visit – maybe not alone, though. I’ll definitely let you know how it goes!

Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a friend's kid's school play. Heard it's a pretty old building...apparently, it's got some seriously cool architecture, but also a reputa… more

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
