Bishop Ford Mystery?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and stumbled upon this school, Bishop Ford Memorial School, while looking at old maps. It's got this kinda creepy vibe online – almost no recent photos, just a fe… more

Honestly, I've never heard of Bishop Ford Memorial School. A quick Google search doesn't turn up much either, which adds to the mystery I guess. If it's near your Airbnb, it's probably worth a look-see, but proceed with caution. Taking pictures from a distance might be a better idea than trying to get inside. Respect local property, you know? Someone living nearby might not appreciate a random tourist poking around. Maybe check Google Street View first to see if you can spot anything interesting from the street. Let us know what you find! Good luck with your urban exploring!

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
