That sounds intriguing! Kowloon Tsai has a lot of hidden pockets of history, so an old building tucked away isn't entirely surprising. It could be anything from a disused changing room from a much older sports facility, a former utility building, or even some kind of old storage unit. Honestly, without a photo, it's tough to say. If you ever go back, maybe try and snap a pic, even from a distance. Then you could post it online, maybe on a local forum or something, and see if anyone recognizes it. Yeah, I've been to Shun Lee Tsuen Playground a few times. The climbing frames are great, my kids love them. Never noticed a stone lion though. Sounds like a good urban legend starter kit! Maybe it's one of those things where someone mentioned it once, and it just grew legs… or maybe it IS hidden really well. Let me know if you find it!! I'll be checking next time I'm there.
