Sai Kung's Secret Beaches?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a week hiking the trails of Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views were insane, seriously postcard-worthy. But I only found two of the supposedly many hidden beaches ever… more

Yeah, Sai Kung's beaches are a bit of a legend, aren't they? I've been there a few times and it's totally possible you just missed some of the smaller ones. The trails aren't always well-marked – sometimes it's more like following a goat track than a proper path. Locals might not even know about all of them, especially if they're not used by tourists. Some of those "secret" beaches are only accessible at low tide, too. So, yeah, hype might be involved, but there's definitely more to find than just the two you saw. Keep an eye out for less-obvious paths branching off the main trails – and maybe check the tide times before you go. Happy hunting!

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
