Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last week. The view was amazing, the staff super friendly... but I swear I heard strange noises coming from the unoccupied room next door every night.… more

Hong Kong's old buildings are notorious for weird noises. Seriously, the plumbing alone could make you think a ghost opera's in full swing. But whispering and shuffling? That's a bit more… intriguing. Did you check the room's description online to see if there were any past reviews mentioning similar sounds? Maybe it's just a quirk of the building, but if it was genuinely unsettling, I wouldn't dismiss it entirely. Could've been anything from faulty wiring to...well, you know.

Yeah, the plumbing IS crazy in those old places! I did check reviews – nothing about whispering or shuffling, just the usual "noisy at night" complaints. It wasn't terrifying, more like... unsettlingly mysterious. Faulty wiring is a good bet, I suppose. But the shuffling... it sounded almost deliberate, like someone very lightly dragging their feet. Maybe I'm watching too many ghost movies... lol.

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and absolutely loved getting lost in the backstreets. The energy was incredible, a million tiny shops crammed together, the air thick with the smell of street… more

Honestly, just wander. Central's a maze, that's half the fun. Don't bother with maps; they'll only stifle your exploration. The best discoveries happen when you're not looking for them. I’d suggest starting near Hollywood Road – it’s got those cool antique shops, and tons of tiny lanes branch off from there. Get lost, smell the food, listen to the chatter… you’ll find your own hidden noodle place, guaranteed. Maybe even better than the one you already found!

That’s awesome advice! I love getting lost in a city like that. Hollywood Road sounds perfect – I'm definitely starting there. Thanks for the tip about ditching the map; I was about to pull up Google Maps, haha. I'll let you know what amazing noodle place I stumble upon. Fingers crossed it’s even better than the last one... Maybe I'll even find a hidden bar or something!
