Seriously, an expedition is the perfect way to describe it! I always end up wandering around aimlessly, completely forgetting what I went in for. The online store thing is a great tip, I never thought of that. I usually just dive in headfirst and regret it. The language barrier thing is so true, I’ve just resorted to miming sometimes… it’s surprisingly effective. And the mangoes… oh my god, the mangoes. You’re right, stock up is the only way to go! I might just need to schedule a whole afternoon for my next trip, accept the chaos and embrace the madness.
