Hong Kong Hospital Food?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So I'm heading to the Robert Black Health Centre next week for a check-up. Heard the waiting times can be... intense. Anyone know what the food situation's like in the cafeteria? Is it edible? Ser… more

Honestly, the food at Robert Black Health Centre isn't amazing, but it's definitely edible. Think standard hospital fare – nothing gourmet, but it'll fill you up. They usually have a few different options, so you might find something you like. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there, but it's not going to make you sick. Bringing your own snacks is probably a good idea just in case, especially if you're picky. You'll be glad you did if your appointment gets delayed!

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and absolutely loved getting lost in the backstreets. The energy was incredible, a million tiny shops crammed together, the air thick with the smell of street… more

Honestly, just wander. Central's a maze, that's half the fun. Don't bother with maps; they'll only stifle your exploration. The best discoveries happen when you're not looking for them. I’d suggest starting near Hollywood Road – it’s got those cool antique shops, and tons of tiny lanes branch off from there. Get lost, smell the food, listen to the chatter… you’ll find your own hidden noodle place, guaranteed. Maybe even better than the one you already found!

That’s awesome advice! I love getting lost in a city like that. Hollywood Road sounds perfect – I'm definitely starting there. Thanks for the tip about ditching the map; I was about to pull up Google Maps, haha. I'll let you know what amazing noodle place I stumble upon. Fingers crossed it’s even better than the last one... Maybe I'll even find a hidden bar or something!
