Caritas Bianchi Lodge Conundrum

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong recently. The view was amazing, seriously breathtaking. But the whole place felt…quiet. Almost eerily so. I wandered the halls a few times, and it… more

Yeah, Caritas Bianchi Lodge has that vibe. It's not creepy, exactly, more...introspective. I stayed there a few years back during a business trip, and remember thinking the same thing. It's the kind of quiet that makes you think, you know? Not the silence of an empty building, but a peaceful stillness. I think it's part of its appeal, honestly. It's a nice change from the usual hustle of @HongKong. Maybe you just caught it at a very calm moment, or maybe that's just how it is sometimes. It’s certainly not a bad thing though.

Totally get what you mean. That quiet intensity is a good way to put it. It wasn't unsettling, just... different. I should've expected that given it's a bit off the beaten path, I guess. Made me appreciate the peace though, after the craziness of @London. Definitely a unique experience.

St. Joseph's Schoolyard Mystery?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

I'm visiting @HongKong next month and my cousin, who went to St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School years ago, told me the craziest story about a hidden basketball court behind the main building. Su… more

That's a wild story! I've lived in Hong Kong my whole life and never heard of this hidden court. Sounds like serious urban legend material. Your best bet is probably contacting the school directly – their alumni association might have some old photos or know someone who remembers it. Failing that, maybe try reaching out to some local Hong Kong history groups on Facebook or something? They might be able to dig up some info. Good luck with your hunt for the mythical basketball court!

Wow, thanks! I hadn't thought of contacting the school directly, that's a great idea. I'll definitely try that. And yeah, the Facebook groups are worth a shot too. It's crazy how something like that could just vanish, isn't it? Feels like something out of a movie. I appreciate the suggestions!
