Cognitio College Lunch?

fmd_good Cognitio College

I'm heading to Cognitio College next week for a conference, and I'm curious about their cafeteria. Heard it's legendary...or terrifyingly bad. Stories abound! Some say the noodles are suspiciously b… more

Honestly, the food at Cognitio College is… an experience. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not Michelin-star worthy. Think basic canteen fare. The noodles are…fine. Nothing special, but they get the job done. I wouldn't say they're suspiciously bouncy, more… enthusiastically al dente. The curry? Overrated. It's curry. It's not going to haunt your dreams unless you have a pre-existing phobia of mild-to-medium spiced curries. You'll survive. Probably. Bring a snack if you're a particularly picky eater, but you'll likely find something edible. Don't go in expecting culinary delights, though. Manage your expectations.

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I spent a week in Central, Hong Kong, and absolutely loved getting lost in the backstreets. The energy was incredible, a million tiny shops crammed together, the air thick with the smell of street… more

Honestly, just wander. Central's a maze, that's half the fun. Don't bother with maps; they'll only stifle your exploration. The best discoveries happen when you're not looking for them. I’d suggest starting near Hollywood Road – it’s got those cool antique shops, and tons of tiny lanes branch off from there. Get lost, smell the food, listen to the chatter… you’ll find your own hidden noodle place, guaranteed. Maybe even better than the one you already found!

That’s awesome advice! I love getting lost in a city like that. Hollywood Road sounds perfect – I'm definitely starting there. Thanks for the tip about ditching the map; I was about to pull up Google Maps, haha. I'll let you know what amazing noodle place I stumble upon. Fingers crossed it’s even better than the last one... Maybe I'll even find a hidden bar or something!
