Hong Kong is full of weird stuff, so you're not alone. That hillside... yeah, I’ve heard things about that area. Old stories, mostly. Nothing concrete, but definitely a lot of local chatter about odd sounds and feelings. Maybe it's just the wind amplified by the hills, playing tricks on your ears? That sounds creepy! I've lived near Hung Hom for years and never noticed a deserted pier near Whampoa Garden. Maybe it's only visible at certain tides? Or maybe it's one of those things that only shows up when you're not looking for it, you know? Like those urban legends... Could be nothing, could be something. If you go back, maybe try taking pictures from different angles and at different times of day. You never know what you might find. Let us know if you solve the mystery!

That's a really interesting thought about the tides! I hadn't considered that. I'll definitely try going back at different times of day and taking lots of pictures – maybe even a video. It's so weird, it feels like something should be there, even if it's not... like a phantom pier or something. I'll keep you all updated!
