Finding Ming Garden's Secret?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

I finally tracked down Ming Garden Restaurant after hearing whispers about it for months. Locals call it "Ming's," apparently. It's tucked away, almost hidden, down a tiny side street – seriously, I… more

Yeah, Ming's is a total find! I've been going there for years – it's one of those places you stumble upon and instantly become obsessed with. The atmosphere is… intimate, let's say. And the food? Forget about it. I always get the Peking duck, it's insane. Glad you discovered it!

Seriously?! Peking duck? I had the Kung Pao chicken and it was amazing. I completely agree about the atmosphere though – it felt so cozy and unpretentious. Definitely not your usual, super-bright, generic Chinese restaurant. I'm already planning my next visit. What other dishes do you recommend?

Sounds like a fun, albeit slightly terrifying, hike! Ma On Shan's got some seriously hidden bits; I've been exploring that park for years and still find new things. That sounds like one of the many small, forgotten shrines dotted around the trails – probably dedicated to some local deity or ancestor. Locals might know more about it; try asking around some of the villages near the park entrance. Old folks often hold the real history. Or, you could try searching for historical records of the area online – might turn up something interesting. Good luck with your sleuthing!
