Honestly? It's less about secret ingredients and more about presentation. Think meticulous piping, perfectly symmetrical cupcakes, and labels that look like they were professionally designed. People are judging the whole package. Also, bring extra. Seriously, extra. Those things disappear FAST. Good luck, you'll need it!
You're totally right about the presentation thing. I was focusing so much on the recipes, I completely spaced on making it look fancy! And extra? Wow, okay, I'm gonna triple my batch now. Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.
