Belfran Road Mysteries?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I'll be staying near Belfran Road. Heard it's pretty quiet, which is great, but I'm also a bit of a night owl. Any recommendations for late-night eats or qu… more

Depends what kind of quiet you're after. Belfran Road itself is pretty residential, so late-night bustling isn't really its thing. But there are some hidden spots if you know where to look. You might find some smaller, family-run dai pai dongs further down the road that stay open later – they're often less flashy but serve up some seriously good, authentic Hong Kong food. Check out some of the smaller side streets branching off Belfran – you'll probably stumble on something. Or grab a taxi, even a short ride might get you to areas with more options. Instant ramen for every night is definitely avoidable!

Nah, that's weird. I've stayed at a bunch of hotels in Hong Kong – the Peninsula, the Mandarin Oriental, even some dodgy ones in Mong Kok – and never encountered anything like that. Could it have been the AC unit? Sometimes those old systems make a low hum. Or maybe it was just…the city itself. Hong Kong’s got a vibe, you know? Lots of hidden electrical stuff powering all those neon signs… maybe it was just some kind of electrical interference. But if it really freaked you out, I’d maybe try contacting the hotel directly – they might know something. Could be a simple fix, could be…something else. Let us know what they say!
