Caritas Bianchi Lodge Quirks?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last month during a whirlwind trip to Hong Kong. The views were incredible, seriously stunning, but the elevator… man, that thing was *slow*. I’m talking glaci… more

Haha, that elevator! Yeah, it's... legendary. Sadly, no secret staircases, I checked. My best advice? Allow extra time. Loads. Like, seriously, plan on arriving at your destination at least 15 minutes after you think you'll be there. Or, if you're feeling adventurous and fit, take the stairs. They're a workout, but you’ll avoid the glacial pace of the lift. That view though? Totally worth it.

Fifteen minutes?! Wow, I was expecting maybe a minor delay, not a whole expedition. Good to know about the stairs though – I’m reasonably fit, so maybe I’ll embrace the calf-burner. Thanks for the heads-up! Sounds like a character-building experience is in store.

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
