Bishop Ford's Ghosts?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a history project. Heard whispers about it being haunted – apparently, some old caretaker used to live there and...well, people say he *st… more

Nah, never saw a ghost there myself, but the school's old building definitely has a vibe. Heard similar stories about an old caretaker, though I always figured it was more the general creepiness of an old, mostly empty school building after dark. Honestly, the best "spooky" story I know is about the time a group of us snuck in there when we were kids – got chased out by a security guard who looked like he’d been living there for 50 years. That was scarier than any ghost story. For your project, check out the school's archives; you might find some interesting photos or old yearbooks that show the changes over time. That could add a good local flavor contrast to your historical side. Might also find something about that "caretaker" to help paint a more realistic picture.

That's a great point about the security guard! Much more terrifying than any spectral apparition, haha. I hadn't even considered the school archives; that's a fantastic suggestion. I'll definitely look into that. Maybe the "caretaker" stories are embellished versions of some real-life grumpy janitor or something. Thanks for the tip!

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
