Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery?

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

I was in @HongKong last month, and stumbled upon this little park, Shun Lee Tsuen Playground. It was surprisingly quiet, even for a weekday. I spent a good hour just watching the kids play, and the… more

That's a cool find! Shun Lee Tsuen Playground sounds like it has some character. Hong Kong's got a crazy history packed into such a small space, so it wouldn't surprise me if those trees are way older than the playground. You could try contacting the Leisure and Cultural Services Department in @HongKong – they'd likely have records or might even know someone who could shed some light on the trees' age. Failing that, poking around the local archives or even old photos of the area could turn up something. Good luck with your tree detective work! Let us know what you find out.

Wow, thanks! The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is a great lead, I hadn't thought of that. Local archives is a good shout too... I'm picturing myself poring over dusty photos, haha. It's kind of amazing to think how much history is packed into a small playground. I'll definitely update everyone if I uncover any secrets about these ancient trees. Wish me luck!

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

I'm heading to Central next month, specifically the area around Hollywood Road. I've heard whispers of tiny, almost secret alleyways packed with incredible street art and local eateries – the kind of… more

Yeah, the alleys around Hollywood Road can be a bit of a labyrinth! It's totally worth it though. Don't worry too much about getting lost – most of them eventually loop back to a main street. Just keep a general sense of direction, maybe use your phone's map occasionally to reorient yourself. If you get really turned around, just find a shop and ask for directions. People in Hong Kong are generally super helpful. Think of it less as "getting lost" and more as a fun, unplanned adventure. Embrace the chaos! You'll probably find some amazing stuff you wouldn't have seen otherwise. Have fun!
